The house behind this door actually belonged to screenwriter Richard Curtis at the time of filming, and after the movie's success, the original door was removed and auctioned for charity before being restored to its signature blue.

Portobello Road Market

William's famous "seasonal walk" through the changing months, filmed in one continuous shot, took place right here in a market that's been a London staple since the 19th century.

The Private Garden Climb

After a tipsy dinner party, William and Anna climb over the fence into this private communal garden for the film's romantic bench scene, and its iron railings, visible from the street, are the same ones Hugh Grant famously struggled over with a "Whoops-a-daisy!"

To film inside without disturbing real guests, the crew was only allowed on set between midnight and 6 a.m., with the hotel's actual Head Hall Porter making a cameo behind the concierge desk.

Edward Cecil Guinness used his brewery fortune to buy this estate in 1925 and gift it to the nation, and the cafe on the grounds today sits in the old wing that once brewed the estate's own beer.
